Pine County covers the southern region of the Munger Trail. It includes numerous small and medium size towns. Amongst these, Pine City, Hinckley, Sandstone, Finlayson, Willow River, and Sturgeon Lake. This area also includes some of the best Family camping, canoing, boating, and fishing along the munger trail. With many, many lakes along side the trail as well as the Snake and Kettle rivers. For the more adventurous white water crowd, the upper Kettle river offers some of the best and runs through Banning state park and the famous Hells Gate Rapids.
